Steven Foxon

Head of Big Country Rural Cinema

 

steven foxon photographSteve was part of the original team that set the ball rolling for digital touring cinema at Phoenix back in 2003 and now manages the project on a part time basis. Steve is an active media practitioner and has a love of film that spans from the very earliest pioneers right through to the digital age. He has worked on numerous projects for the British Film Institute, Arts Council - England and the British Universities Film and Video Council. When he is not at Phoenix he is an accredited moving image preservation consultant and dvd producer; helping the BFI to gain the FOCAL award in 2007 for their restoration work on the ‘Documentaries Centenary’ and most recently helping the BFI to win a ‘Best DVD’ award at the 2009 Bologna Film Festival.

Pete Groschl

Co-ordinator for Leicesterhire & Rutland

 

pete groschl photographPete has worked in film, education and outreach for over 20 years. He started projecting for centre screen in 2004 and took over as co-ordinator for Leicestershire & Rutland in August 2008. Pete is involved in music, film and community festivals, working on approximately 15 each year as well as running arts workshops in museums and other places. Pete likes eating cakes and is a strict vegetarian. X

Anna Hayward

Co-ordinatorfor Northamptonshire

 

anna hayward photographAnna has lived and worked in Northamptonshire for 13 years. Having always been interested in arts and crafts, Anna began her career in the arts funding system before moving into local government. As the Arts Officer for South Northamptonshire, Anna developed an interest in and knowledge of rural arts provision and is pleased to now be supporting the addition of film screenings to the touring circuit in Northamptonshire.

Adam Patman

Co-ordinator for Lincolnshire

 

adam patman photographAdam is the latest co-ordinator to join the Big Country rural cinema network. Adam works for South Holland district council as an Events and Marketing officer and is helping Big Country to develop rural cinema opportunities into the South Lincolnshire area. Adam currently manages the cinema activity in South Holland, South Kesteven and Boston and when he has some spare time he has been known to tread the boards as a professional actor!
